ANTIQUE WHITING & DAVIS ENAMELED MESH PURSE

This ITEM is a vintage Whiting & Davis enameled mesh purse from the Art Deco era. Whiting and Davis made dozens of versions of the small purse, this one having a native American look in its design pattern. Purse measures 6-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches. Closure frame is about 4 inches in width. This purse still has its tiny Whiting & Davis metal tag on the inside. Likely dates to the 1920's or '30's.

Condition: Very nice condition as-is but does have some missing links on one of the hinged closure corners (see closeup). The other side looks normal (no missing links). This may be repairable if your very crafty, but the purse is fine as-is for the purpose of collecting and display. These small purses are quite beautifully made.
