This rare black and white photo print dates to the 1950's and captures the image of Wrestler LUTHER LINDSAY. The photograph was taken in Portland Oregon at the Portland Armory during a show (backstage photo).

This vintage photo print measures 6-5/8 x 4-5/8 inches.

LUTHER LINDSAY has an extensive wrestling history dating from 1951 to 1972. He worked in many different regions around the USA and overseas. In 1972, Luther sadly died in the ring during a match with wrestler Bobby Paul. Luther was trained by wrestling legend Stu Hart and was one of the first African American Wrestlers to become a major star in the USA.

Very nice condition. No tears or pin holes. NOTE: The NO COPYING security mark does not exist on the actual photo.
