RARE 1950's PNW NWA WRESTLER PHOTO - DAVE JONS

This rare black and white photo print dates somewhere between 1954 and 1956. The image is of British Wrestler Dave Jons and the venue is believed to be the Portland Armory in Portland Oregon. The Portland Armory held wrestling events from 1954 to 1967. Dave Jons has notable wrestling history in the USA from 1952 to 1956, performing in many venues and states across the US. Dave Jons even wrestled Lou Thesz for the Heavyweight championship title in 1953 (in Canada). It is believed that Dave Jons left the United States in 1956. He was never heard from again.

This vintage photo print measures 6-5/8 x 4-5/8 inches.

This photo has been hand signed in ink by Dave Jons to a previous owner. The signature dates the photo itself to the 1950's. Photos of Dave Jons with his signature are very rare.

Very nice condition. No tears or pin holes. NOTE: The NO COPYING security mark does not exist on the actual photo.
