VINTAGE 1986 MARVIN HAGLER A/P BOXING PHOTO

This is a great authentic A/P (Associated Press) Laserphoto of MARVIN HAGLER.  This photo print is from a match between Hagler and John Mugabi. Photo is 8 x 10 inches. This great photo has a caption/cutline printed onto the face of the image and has an A/P mark on the reverse. Photo dates to 1986. 

Marvin Hagler and John Mugabi fought on March 11th, 1986. Hagler knocked out Mugabi in the eleventh round.

Condition: Excellent.

A/P HISTORY - 1974 to 1990's:  Laserphotos usually start as an original photo print (Type 1) which was then transmitted via a Portable Picture Transmitter. The transmitter itself was a large device that was basically just a portable fax machine that could send both black and white or color photographs over long distances using telephone lines. After transmission, another device on the receiving end used lasers to copy the transmitted image information directly onto dry silver paper, which resulted in a photo realistic image.
