Vintage Lady Sheaffer 642 fountain pen
1970's / 14K NIB
$75.00
This is a vintage Lady Sheaffer 642 fountain pen featuring a brushed silver finish with a gold-plated "basketweave" or "chicken wire" pattern.
Design: The pen has a slender, tapered shape and was produced in the USA during the 1970s.
Nib: It is fitted with a 14K (585) gold conical nib, sometimes referred to as a "Stylpoint" nib, which often has a deliberate slight upturn. NIB gold weight is 0.6 grams (about $52.00 gold value).
Filling System: This model is a cartridge-fill pen, though it may also accept converters.
CONDITION: Very nice but does have some odd surface spotting on the cap and barrel (these spots are likely tarnishing that's gotten under the clear coat). The nib is beautiful (marked 14K and 585). The push-button fill cartridge feature is untested. Will needs some light cleaning.
